Multiplication on a Number Line

Use this strategy to connect repeated addition to multiplication. Download the presentation and pause to let students create their own number lines and answer the questions. Then, check their reasoning by finishing the presentation.
Note the emphasis is NOT the order of the factors as students can choose any number to skip count by. Point out that the Commutative Property of Multiplication allows a choice in multiplication strategies.
